Bethel House provides interim housing for homeless families with children for up to one year while assisting them with utilizing various social services to transition them back to independent housing. Bethel House utilizes six private housing units, located within the City of Whitewater, to support families with ties to the community. Bethel House also provides assistance for families on the verge of homelessness. Families not only receive financial help from Bethel House (on a short-term basis) with such expenses as rent, utility bills, food and gasoline, but also receive guidance in accessing available support services. Support services include credit/financial, vocational, and relationship counseling, legal and medical services, and transportation as needed in order to meet program goals.
