About Dickinson Place Charitable Corp.
Dickinson Place was established in 1971 because there was a high need for low-income housing for the elderly and physically disabled in East Dallas and its surrounding areas. The mission of Dickison Place is to provide comfortable, affordable apartment living and programming to enhance spiritual, personal and social well-being of all residents. Sponsored by Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dickinson Place staffs a service coordinator and an activity director to assist residents with day-to-day support to insure successful independent living.
