Administers a direct emergency financial assistance voucher program for qualified veterans, spouses or dependent children. Assistance may vary per family and can include emergency assistance with food, rent, mortgage and utility bill payment.HOW SERVICE IS PROVIDED: On-siteWHO QUALIFIES: Must be a resident of Medina County for at least 3 months and have been honorably discharged from the military. Assistance based on size of household and total net income of family. Amount of assistance given varies and is based on total net household income and size of family. Assistance in either food, housing or utility payment is each available 3 times per year per household.HOURS OF SERVICE: Medina Office: M-F: 8:00am-12:00pm(Noon); 1:00pm-4:30pm; Wadsworth Office: 1st and 3rd W of the month: 1:00pm-3:00pmFEES: FreeREQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Copy of DD214; Proof of 3-month s residency such as utility bill, rent receipt or mortgage payment.HOW TO ACCESS: Phone or walk-in for information at the Medina Office: M-F: 8:00am-12:00pm(Noon); 1:00pm-4:30pm; Wadsworth Office: 1st and 3rd W of the month: 1:00pm-3:00pm.
