The Carying Place, founded in 1993 runs a Transitional Housing Program. This program gives families an opportunity to stabilize their financial situation, leading to permanent self-sustaining housing. Each family accepted into the program is paired with a volunteer team, which works with the family to develop a personalized plan for self-sufficiency. Through financial assistance and broad-based counseling in life skills, The Carying Place seeks to help people work towards self-reliance and growth. We serve six families at a time. The families stay in the programs up to four months.
