About Winfield House
The Winfield House organization was born out of the recognition that the existing community institutions are currently unable to fulfill the numerous telephone requests for assistance through present program components and referrals alone, because in many instances there are no existing community programs to address the broad-ranging pleas for assistance. Even where isolated programs exist to serve children, teens, the elderly, the poor or the homeless, our community s best efforts in providing services will be minimal or without lasting effect if we do not work as partners with family members, individuals and other organizations. The Winfield House programs represent a new way of working with families, the poor, the homeless, the elderly, youth and others in the community. This program seeks to provide services to these groups and others in need?empowering and strengthening them in their roles as successful people seeking to reach positive destinies. The belief is that providing broad-based support will enhance individual and family stability, develop competencies of those in need, and promote the healthy, nondenominational development of spirituality within them. The proposed development, enhancement and operation of a range of additional multi-service programs, using the family as a model would fill an empty niche in the continuum of community services.
