About Assistance Center, South East Associated Ministries (SEAM)

Provides emergency assistance in areas of basic needs including financial assistance for housing, utilities, clothing, and prescription medicines; food through Dare-to-Care; Meals on Wheels; blood pressure screenings; back-to-school supplies; holiday assistance; and information and referral services regarding other emergency resource providers. Serves residents of 40218 and 40220 in Jefferson Co, KY. SEAM schedules appointments for assistance on a daily basis and when the daily allotment of appointments have been filled, the phone is no longer answered. If a caller receives a busy signal, they should keep trying. Instructions for Meals On Wheels are as follows: SEAM works with the Louisville Metro Nutrition Program to provide a site and volunteers for Meals on Wheels and the daily congregate lunch. The Senior Nutrition Site provides a hot lunch 5 days a week. Participants must be 60 years old or older to qualify. There is no set fee for lunches; donations are accepted. Reservations are required. Persons must call 459-2947 by noon the day before to make a reservation.
