The Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services offers several affordable housing and homeless programs: 1) a homeless shelter with a 30 day emergency shelter located in Hudson is provided for single women with or without children, offering food, clothes, counseling, support groups, job referrals, planning, and assistance in locating permanent housing. When available, furniture, household items, clothes, and food are provided; 2) short-term rental assistance is offered for persons with AIDS at risk of becoming homeless (HOPWA); 3) tenant-based rental assistance and supported housing for persons with a recent history of incarceration who are at risk for becoming homeless; 4) housing for low-income seniors and disabled adults.
