State agency funds or provides services to people with mental illnesses and oversees alcohol and drug prevention and treatment programs in Connecticut, including operation of state funded chemical dependence treatment centers. Direct services to adults with psychiatric disabilities are provided by local mental health authorities and other community providers located throughout Conn. DMHAS also manages the grant funding of housing programs for their target populations.Elegibility:Persons with a psychiatric disorder on a waiting list for permanent state and/or federal subsidy Hours of operation:M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm Apply at CRT offices in Hartford or Middletown; Cannot apply more than once in any 18 month period
