About William B. Dessner Memorial Fund, Inc.
The William B. Dessner Memorial Fund, Inc. was founded in January of 1973 upon the death of Mr. William B. Dessner, a dialysis patient. It was established with funds donated from friends and relatives in his memory to NAPHT, The National Association of Patients on Hemodialysis and Transplantation, Inc. It was associated as a part of NAPHT until 1989 when it became an independent organization managed by Ruth Dessner, Gerald H. Dessner, and Daniel A. Dessner, widow, son, and grandson of Mr. William B. Dessner.
