The vision of Renewing Life came into existance in 2003 to help meet the needs of the poor, elderly and disabled. From 2001-2003 when working as a faith base consultant to the County of San Diego for the South Region, Tony San Nicolas was exposed to statistis such as 69% of families are 3 or more individuals and 70% of those families are low income based on HUD income limits. Two of the needs in that community are food for those individuals and families at or below the poverty level and free transportation for the elderly and disabled. Although our focus is in the South Bay of San Diego County, anyone qualifying can take advantage of our food resource center. As an approved agency for the San Diego Food Bank we have access to purchasing our food from them with donations from businesses and the general public. Vouchers will also be purchased for items such as hygeine products, infant needs, and perishables.
